Student View
Student communications panel
The student right panel uses the same three tools as the instructor view, but they support student workflows instead of course setup.
Chat
Students can use chat topics to keep class conversations organized. Unread markers make it easier to notice new activity.
- Open a chat topic from the topic list.
- Read unread conversations first because they rise in priority.
- Reply to messages and react when a quick response is enough.
- Use linked chat shortcuts from the student overview to jump straight into a conversation.
Calendar
The student calendar shows assignment due dates in day, week, and month views. Student filtering is removed because students already see their own work.
- Switch between day, week, and month views.
- Filter by active courses, all available courses, or one specific course.
- Link the calendar to the current course selection when you want the calendar to follow what you are viewing.
- Use the calendar to spread out work before deadlines pile up.
Tasks
The task area can contain personal lists and instructor-assigned lists. Students can reorder items and mark them complete as work gets finished.
- Open a task list to see its checklist.
- Mark items complete as you finish them.
- Track lists assigned by an instructor separately from your own lists.
- Use the overview page if you want a faster summary of incomplete tasks.
