    Instructor View

    Instructor selection panel

The left panel is where instructors choose what to work on next. It has separate tabs for courses and students.

    Courses tab

The Courses tab is designed for quick course management. It lets you create a new course, filter the list, and jump directly into a course or a specific student inside that course.

    • Create a course from the top of the panel.
    • Filter courses by status: Active, Completed, or Inactive.
    • Filter courses by student by clicking student avatars in the filter row.
    • Rename an untitled course directly from its course card.
    • Pin important courses so they stay easier to reach.
    • Open a course by clicking its card.
    • Open a specific student's course view by clicking that student's avatar on the course card.
    • Add students from the course card without leaving the panel.

    Students tab

The Students tab gives you a student-first way to work. Instead of starting from a course, you can start from a learner and then move into that student's enrolled courses and assignments.

    • Switch between All Students and Your Students.
    • Pin frequently referenced students.
    • Open a student record from the card.
    • See the courses connected to each student from the course badges on the card.
    • Jump from a student card back into one of their courses when needed.

How instructors usually use this panel

Use the Courses tab when you are planning a class, adding students, or creating assignments. Use the Students tab when you want to review one learner across multiple courses or look at that student's assignment status in context.

    • Start from Courses for class setup and grading workflows.
    • Start from Students for one-student review meetings or support check-ins.
    • Pin active courses during the term and pin individual students during intervention periods.
